An eclectic menu with traditional fare mixed with more adventurous dishes, all in a space with plenty of “Hudson-y” decor. I really enjoyed the bibimbap fried rice with fried eggs, along with the dates wrapped in bacon with an addictive maple sauce.
Absolute wonderful staff !! The The muscles were out of this world! The wife had mushroom and sauerkraut tortellini which she said was delicious! Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, made for a memorable experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
One of the best meals in town! The menu consists of fresh seasonal ingredients. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience here. If I'm in town again, this is definitely at the top of my restaurant list.
Swoon is an upscale restaurant with a nice set of menu options to select from. The place was packed with every table filled. Reservations recommended. They have a large wine selection, including smaller size wine jars. The food was very flavorful. We would come back again.
This is my go to spot when in Hudson. The finest, freshest, local ingredients go into every dish. Had lunch on a Sunday and shared 3 plates: beet salad, Cucumber salad and corn Risotto. A wow for all 3! Beautiful taste, amazing flavor, and wonderful presentation. This space is warm and inviting with a long wooden bar. Comfortable surroundings and a friendly and knowledgeable staff! A must go to Hudson restaurant.
Had the greatest New Years Eve Dinner at Swoon last night. This restaurant always delivers with inventive specials that fit the season, prepared perfectly. I selected the four course menu, starting with Pate de Campagne (that’s country pate for you) the squid ink risotto with scallops, duck breast for an entree - this came with duck sausage, enoki, hijiki carrots and a cashew butter …such a tasty flavor profile! My date loved her Dayboat Scallop Crudo with yuzu, miso and pickled vegetables (I stole two bites and concur - delicious!). She chose the pan roasted salmon, which was perfectly cooked, just past rare, with a celery root puree, roasted fennel and frisée, topped with an orange ginger sauce. This was just an amazing combination. “A very exciting salmon dish” according to my date. And for dessert? A delectable apple crostata (compliments to the very talented pastry chef!). A perfect way to ring in the New Year. Thank you to the lovely staff and the chef!
Three of us went on a driving tour of New York/Mass/Ct last fall. We spent the night in Hudson and found this restaurant by walking up Main Street. A great choice. We had a delicious dinner and some wine. Certainly will go back the next time we are in the area.
Terrific farm to table restaurant. Loved the fried artichokes, hanger steak, and rack of lamb. Very generous portions. Limited, but decent quality, wines by glass. Lots of quality half bottle options. Local beers. Service friendly and efficient. All in all, a memorable meal without breaking the bank.
Enjoyed our dinner at Swoon, a longstanding Hudson NY establishment. Service was friendly and attentive. Crispy artichokes were fantastic and bread plate hit all the right notes. Short ribs were pretty good, had some central american spices with nice bright vegetable garnish. Partner had the risotto which was fine, nothing too special. Desserts were great, highlight was a pumpkin flavored pudding. Proved why it has remained in business for all these years!
Had a lovely meal here. The service was incredible; everyone was welcoming and helpful. The steak and N/A margarita were absolutely excellent. The gnocchi were a little underdone but still overall a very enjoyable meal.
